Class 5 Newsletter - Monday 29th June

Hello everybody

We hope you have all had a super week. It was lovely to speak to both adults and children last week and have a good catch up with you all. We also enjoyed seeing lots of your smiley faces and when you came to collect your reports on Tuesday. Well done everyone for a fantastic effort this year both in school and out.

Lucy has been very busy with her new hamster, Lucas has built a wooden fort in his garden, Olivia has been having a pool day and Jenson enjoyed a visit to Normanby Hall.  It was so nice to hear about the lovely things you have been doing and all the hard work you have been doing at home. Please remember not to worry about the school work if you find parts of it a bit tricky! Just do your best. Remember to keep reading, practising your handwriting and times table too as these things will really help you when you start year 3.

I have found a really nice book about the how different school has been for us all this year which you can find by following this link:

I hope the children transferring to Leys Farm enjoyed meeting your new teachers last Thursday. I know you all have lots of different feelings about starting your new schools. Some of you are excited, some of you are nervous or worried, some of you are a little bit scared and some of you have all of these feelings mixed together. It is ok to feel like this and lots of people feel this way when they start a new adventure. I know I do! You need to remember that whichever school you are moving to, your new teachers are very excited to meet you and are all getting ready to welcome you and help you settle in. I know you will all be looking forward to meeting up with old friends again and/or meeting lots of new friends.

I hope you all enjoyed our sports themed work last week. Exercise is a very important part of keeping our bodies strong and healthy. This week we are going to be learning more about how to stay healthy.
