Class 3 - Newsletter Monday 6th July
Week beginning 6th July 2020
Hope you are all keeping well and have had a good week. The weather seems to have changed again and as I type it is raining and windy. I wonder what the weather will be like this week?
It was lovely to see some of you at report collection or speak to you on the phone over the last few weeks. I miss you all so much and look forward to seeing you again soon!
Some children have been very busy on Tapestry this week:
Shae has been completing maths with marshmallows, writing phonics words, making a fantastic clock with his mummy and using it to tell and make different times. He also found a chrysalis next to his front door! I wonder what will come out of it?
Emily has been drawing and writing sentences, designing her own yummy lolly, completing maths and rhyming words activities, going to the beach with her family and blowing bubbles.
George has been completing his phonics and writing super sentences. He also really enjoyed doing rhyming words sheets!
Edie has been enjoying dressing up with her big sister, riding her bike, eating cup cakes and doing very neat and careful colouring in!
Jameson has been making a reading tent in his garden, drawing beautiful pictures of the birds that visit his garden and making games with scrabble tiles.
Well done to everyone completing home learning this week!
Home learning
Reception: It continues to be as close as possible to what the children in school will be doing.
This week we will be completing a virtual sports day (for more details see below) and learning about shadows.
Year 1: The Maths this week continues to be from the White Rose Maths site, the literacy work is about sport and the Olympics, the SPAG is from Twinkl Go (more details are in the Y1 home learning) and the Phonics is on espresso (again more details in the Y1 home learning). The Phonics is Phase 5 and we are starting to look at split digraphs.
Monday 6th July- Enderby Road Sports Day!
As we cannot run our usual sports day, we are asking children to get involved with our virtual sports event. To take part click on the link below and have a go at the 10 fun activities. There are also video clips to help you and a record sheet for you to log your child's score and personal best.
These can also be downloaded from the website: http://clixbyactiveprosport.com/virtual-sports-day/
Children (parents) can also share their attempts with us via our FB page! Every child who completes this and emails us their record sheet will receive a special certificate! Please send these to us at admin.enderbyroad@northlincs.gov.uk by Friday 10th July.
HAVE FUN, KEEP ACTIVE & STAY SAFE.
Hope you have a good week and thank you for your ongoing support!
