Class 5 Newsletter - Monday 18th May
Dear Class 5,
I hope you have all had a super week and enjoyed the bank holiday? We celebrated VE day last Friday by sitting in the garden and having afternoon tea. We had pilchard sandwiches, milk jelly and some cake. These were all foods people would have eaten in the 1940s. We really enjoyed the jelly and cake but we were not as keen on the sandwiches; however, Peter our cat loved them. We also let Billy and Patch have a run on the grass which they loved!
This week Daisy and I have been doing some digging in our garden and have found lots and lots or worms! We collected them all up and made our own wormery. Worms are very useful creatures and look after the soil. We enjoyed doing it so much that our topic this week is going to be all about worms.
Why not have a go at making your own wormery.

I have also added a recipe to make your own worm cake yum yum! (Don’t worry it only has jelly worms inside).
