Class 3 - Newsletter Monday 15th June

Hope you are all keeping well and enjoying the Summer sunshine and rain! We have been busy planting sunflower seeds in school and are hoping they will soon grow so we can measure them.

Thank you again to all the parents who post photos, videos and comments on the Tapestry platform. It’s great to see the children enjoying their home learning and I always reply!

George has been busy practising his number writing and making a weather chart and Edie has been practising letter formation and drawing beautiful pictures. Shae has been using his weather chart and practising the days and seasons and also completing some beautiful drawing and writing all about sunflowers. Jameson has been learning how to bake bread and make crumbles. He also found an interesting nest in his garden and has been learning to identify the different birds on the feeder.

Well done all!

 Home learning

Reception: This week the focus is on sunflowers and water. Please see the separate sheet for details.  It is as close as possible to what the children in school will be doing.

Year 1: This week it is based on the story of ‘The frog Prince’,

The White Rose Maths this week is about counting in groups of 2, 5 and 10. Please try and complete these activities as I know it is an area of Number that all the Y1s in Class 3 found tricky.

Hope you have a good week and thank you for your ongoing support!
