Class 3 - Newsletter Monday 13th July

Week beginning 13th July 2020

Hope you are all keeping well and have had a good week.

Some children have been very busy on Tapestry this week:

Jameson has been picking fresh vegetables in his garden and planning and preparing a delicious meal for his family. He has also read 350 books since starting school- what a fantastic achievement!

Shae has been colouring half of different shapes, practising his tricky words and o clock and half past times, thinking of rhyming words and talking about what he would like in a friendship soup!

Emily H has been busy neatly colouring half of shapes and then halving objects and writing how many in each half. She also then enjoyed cutting Velcro fruit in half and matching dinosaur shadows!

Well done to everyone completing home learning this week!

Home learning

Reception: It continues to be as close as possible to what the children in school will be doing.

This week we will be looking at transition to Year 1 and number bonds to 10.

Year 1: The Maths is from White Rose Maths and is on halves and quarters. The topic is about memories of Year 1.

We both wanted to say thank you so much for all your support over the year. We have loved teaching your child and hope they have fond memories of their time in Reception or Year 1 in Class 3! We look forward to seeing them again in September, either with us in Class 3, next door in Class 4 or up the corridor in Class 5. We hope you have a great Summer!

Love Mrs Parker and Mrs Harrison xx
