Class 3 Newsletter Monday 11th May
Hope you are all keeping well and have had a good week. I have been very happy that the sunshine has come back again!
Thank you so much to all the parents who continue to put photos, comments and videos on Tapestry. Olive has been busy potting plants for Nanna’s garden, Shae has been completing fantastic paintings of a farmer, a dinosaur and a rocket, Jameson has been sorting objects in different ways and mastering steering on his bike and George has been very busy making shape trains, drawing an alien and writing fab sentences about it and completing finger print maths of the hungry caterpillar! Well done to you all!
Please do continue to do this, it’s so lovely to see what you are doing at home and I always reply!
Year 1 parents, please do email the school with your child’s work then Mrs Codd can put it on the school website. Isaac did some fantastic writing and a labelled diagram of a bee this week. I was very impressed, well done Isaac!
Home learning
Our literacy is back to minibeasts and this week is based on ladybirds.
See if you can find one in your garden or when you are out on your daily walk.
Where do they live? What colours can you see? How many legs do they have? Do you know what a young ladybird looks like? This week you will find out!
We will be looking at the Julia Donaldson story- ‘What the ladybird heard’ and also looking at ladybird facts.
The Phonics continues to be revision of Phase 3 sounds and tricky words.
Our Maths this week: (Please see attached sheets for more details)
The Reception children will be continuing to use the White Rose maths home learning lessons for Early Years. This week it is based around ‘The very busy spider’.
The Year 1 children will be continuing using the White Rose maths home learning lessons for Year 1.
Have a good week everyone!
