Class 4 Newsletter - 29th June
Dear Class 4,
Mrs Matthews enjoyed talking to most of you this week, she said it was lovely to hear that you are all staying safe and keeping well. I know there were a few of you who weren’t in but she will try and contact you this week.
We had a lovely few days of hot weather before it changed again. We hope you all enjoyed being outside and feeling the sun on your skin but remember how important it is to wear sunscreen! As we are now in these summer months, we must remember that the sun is now at its hottest and your skin can easily burn, even when it is a bit cloudy. Believe us, having a sunburn is really not nice! So, whenever you go outside, remember: sunscreen to protect your skin, a hat to protect your head and drink plenty of water as you will sweat more outside in the heat!
For our topic work this week, we are going to think about how exercise affects your body. Then we will think about how else you can keep your body healthy (remember sunscreen!) We hope you have fun!
We have now attached the worksheets and power points you will need for this week’s work. Remember, you don’t need to print them out if you don’t have access to a printer, just use them as a guide and draw or write whatever the task is on a piece of paper.

Our summer reading challenge is a bit different this year. As we don’t have access to our libraries at the moment, the reading challenge has gone digital and this year we are asking you to join the ‘Silly Squad!’ Click on this link to find out more: https://summerreadingchallenge.org.uk/ and sign up for the challenge! There are rewards for those who do it (including a special treat once our assemblies are able to restart!) Remember how important it is to keep reading, we haven’t seen many of you on Bug Club recently! Also remember to send any work to Mrs Codd for the website, we love seeing what you have done!
