Class 5 Newsletter - Monday 13th July
Dear parents and children
This will be the last Class 5 newsletter I write to you as we come to the end of this school year. Although I have only had the chance to teach Class 5 for a few months I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for making me feel so welcome and for your continual support. I have very much enjoyed teaching Class 5 and getting to know you all, what a lovely group of children! I wish you all lots and lots of luck for the future, I will miss you all but I know you will all continue to work hard and make your new teacher smile every day!
I hope you all enjoyed taking part in last weeks ‘virtual sports day’. The children in school had great fun completing all the activities although we did have to have a few ‘rain breaks’! They also really enjoyed learning about the Olympics particularly the Ancient Olympics. The children were so interested that we decided to do some additional work on Ancient Greece, Greek Gods and Greek Myths.
For our final week of online learning we are going to be making a ‘school memory booklet’ which will be really nice for you to keep and look back on when you are older.
I have also set lots of fun games for you to play to help you revise some of the maths and SPaG we have been learning about this year. You can access these games by searching for ‘Twinkl Go’ and adding the Pin code which you will find below each of the daily activities.
We are all really looking forward to seeing you all on Friday the 17th of July for the Year 2 leaver’s event. This will be a chance to celebrate all of the hard work the year 2 children have completed this year and an opportunity to catch up with staff and friends. We hope to see as many of you as possible.
We have really enjoyed our time getting to know you all and wish you the very best of luck for the future.
Stay safe.
Miss Mellows and Mrs Barker
